I loved working on renovating this bathroom. When we rocked up to quote, it was a grotty, but cared for 70's poky bathroom with seperate toilet room next door. The mosaic tiles were lifting, the shower rail fell off while we where there, and the bath was rusting out. After discussing with the client we drew up some plans to remove the dividing wall, opening up the space, and rearrange the fixtures, tucking the shower, toilet, bigger bath and custom vanity cabinet into the corners, leaving a comfortable area in between, where you could actually swing your arms. Due to cost considerations, we opted to keep both the original windows, and cleverly linked them with a mirror, giving the illusion of one continuous window. I loved the tile selections made by our client, the creamy marbled floor tiles hide dirt really well, while the clean white wall tiles kept the room bright and modern. The crowning addition was the burgundy capping tiles, which changed the aesthetic from plain and comfortable, up to classy and warm.
